He defended the build, which has seen backlash for months, given that he is planning a \u201cmuch bigger and more beautiful\u201d structure that is \u201cdouble the size, and the quality of finishes and interiors has been brought to the highest level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe GOP leader went on to claim that it is \u201cunder budget and ahead of schedule, as my jobs always are\u201d and reiterated that \u201cinterestingly, and seldom reported, there are no taxpayer dollars involved. It is being fully paid by private donations.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tTrump concluded the post with another jab at CNN.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn a response on her Instagram Story, Collins wrote, \u201cTechnically my question was about Venezuela,\u201d in reference to the administration\u2019s bombing of alleged drug smuggling vessels off the coast of the Latin American country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tVenezuelan president-turned-dictator Nicol\u00e1s Maduro has <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0Ts6OZXNN9c\" target=\"_blank\">said the real reason for the U.S. military actions<\/a> is the country\u2019s oil reserves, considered the largest in the world. The State Department has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2025\/11\/26\/americas\/colombia-petro-venezuela-oil-us-latam-intl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">denied<\/a>\u00a0that claim, insisting the Caribbean boat strikes, which have killed over 80 people, are part of a campaign to stop the import of cocaine and fentanyl into the U.S.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCollins made her comments on The Source with Kaitlan Collins on Friday night, but the CNN anchor also was on the red carpet at the Kennedy Center earlier in the day, when Trump was attending the FIFA World Cup Draw. There, Collins asked Trump about accepting FIFA\u2019s new peace prize at the same time that the administration has been carrying out the strikes on alleged Venezuelan drug boats.<\/p>\n<p>Collins is only the latest female reporter whom Trump has singled out for attack. Back in November, Trump made headlines for <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/11\/trump-quiet-piggy-jeffrey-epstein-1236621364\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">telling Bloomberg News\u2019 Catherine Lucey \u201cquiet piggy,\u201d<\/a> an action defended by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt as <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/11\/trump-piggy-bloomberg-reporter-1236625130\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cvery frank and honest\u201d<\/a> commentary, rather than a playground-level insult.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIn general, Trump has notably been hostile to press, both during his first term and current one.
