A Cinnabon employee at Bay Park Square Mall in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, was discharged after a shocking video circulated on social media. In the video, one can see the employee being very racist, disrespectfully referring to customers with derogatory terms for Muslims at the counter.<\/p>\n
The video, initially posted on X and now circulating on other platforms, shows an argument between a restaurant staff member and a couple from Somalia who were attempting to place their order. According to the accompanying description on the video page, the argument turned sour when the staff member made fun of the hijab on the female member of the couple.<\/p>\n
As the couple began recording with their phone, this person appeared more aggressive and expressed racism by saying they are racists and started to use the \u201cN word,\u201d and made obscene gestures by flipping them off with both middle fingers.<\/p>\n
In the video, the reactions of the two can be heard as they referred to the employee as an idiot and another insult as they threatened her with the potential ruin of her life and loss of employment. The employee continued insulting them throughout the video.<\/p>\n
People responded negatively online, and Cinnabon\u2019s officials reacted promptly.<\/p>\n
Cinnabon Confirms Immediate Termination.<\/strong><\/p>\n According to FOX 11 News,<\/a> Cinnabon said the employee was fired shortly after the video went online. A spokesperson for this company, Sawyer Carlson, said this incident involving this particular employee does not represent the values the company supports.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are aware of the deeply troubling video involving a former employee at the independently owned and operated Cinnabon bakery in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin,\u201d Carlson said. \u201cThe individual seen in the video was immediately terminated by the franchise owner. Their actions and statements are completely unacceptable and in no way reflect the values of Cinnabon, our franchisees, or the welcoming environment we expect for every guest and team member.\u201d<\/p>\n Cinnabon released a statement on X<\/a>: \u201cWe\u2019ve seen the disturbing video from the Cinnabon bakery in Ashwaubenon, WI, and we do not condone this behavior,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cThe former employee was immediately terminated by the franchise owner.
