{"id":431088,"date":"2025-12-07T14:01:04","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T14:01:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/431088\/"},"modified":"2025-12-07T14:01:04","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T14:01:04","slug":"34000-square-foot-pickleball-center-coming-to-north-san-antonio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/431088\/","title":{"rendered":"34,000-square-foot pickleball center coming to North San Antonio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA brand new, 34,000-square-foot indoor pickleball center is on its way to North San Antonio soon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In case you missed it<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thepicklr.com\/location\/san-antonio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Picklr<\/a>, the new facility is located at 16648 San Pedro Ave., inside the old Big Lots at the Park Oaks shopping center.<\/p>\n<p>While construction may delay opening, franchise owner James Speer told Community Impact the center should open at the end of Q1 in early 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf everything goes right with construction, we\u2019re hoping for that time frame,\u201d Speer said.<\/p>\n<p>The new facility is a part of a nationwide chain of locally-owned pickleball centers, with 17 clubs scattered throughout Texas, according to The Picklr\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>Speer is also the franchise owner of another location coming to Live Oak early next year, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/san-antonio\/northeast-san-antonio-metrocom\/business\/2025\/11\/25\/46000-square-foot-indoor-pickleball-center-coming-soon-to-live-oak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous reporting<\/a> from Community Impact.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The framework<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>San Antonio\u2019s new facility will include the following <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thepicklr.com\/location\/san-antonio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">amenities<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nine courts<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor surfacing<\/li>\n<li>AI coaching<\/li>\n<li>Pro shop<\/li>\n<li>Private event\u2028areas<\/li>\n<li>League play<\/li>\n<li>Tournaments\u2028and drop-in play<\/li>\n<li>Court\u2028reservations<\/li>\n<li>Two locker rooms and showers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will also be a raised mezzanine overlooking all nine courts, according to Speer.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, an AI coaching system called <a href=\"https:\/\/thepicklr.com\/ai-coaching-add-on\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wingfield<\/a> will be available for future members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt uses cameras around the court and gives you instant feedback on your game,\u201d Speer said.<\/p>\n<p>Professional tournaments, drop-in games, and more will be held at The Picklr as well.<\/p>\n<p>Events like birthday parties, work conferences and more can also be held in the facility\u2019s private meeting room areas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&gt;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A brand new, 34,000-square-foot indoor pickleball center is on its way to North San Antonio soon.
