However, not everyone needs the latest and greatest, especially since it usually means shelling out more money. Nearing the release of the next generation is a perfect time to save on the outgoing model, and that’s the case with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.

With a qualifying trade-in, you can score a Galaxy Z Flip 6 through AT&T for less than $3 a month. Yes, you must stick with the carrier for 36 months to receive the full discount, but that’s still an excellent deal on a powerful clamshell foldable. If you’ve been on the fence about trying out a flip phone, this deal might be worth considering.

                    Read our review

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 6 is great but it’s no longer the slam dunk foldable choice

The best one yet, but is that good enough?

Why you should buy a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6

Despite being almost a year old, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 continues to be a top performer, thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 12GB of RAM. It’ll be some time before you start noticing slowdowns, and thanks to Samsung’s promised seven years of software support, you won’t need to look for a new phone anytime soon. If you’re considering a Galaxy Z Flip 6, software should be a significant reason why. One UI 7 runs smoothly on the device, and Samsung made material improvements to its Android skin.

I wish I didn’t need to use Good Lock, but I still enjoy the outer display experience on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. I can slide through widgets and get notifications without unfolding the phone. It’s protected front and back by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the Z Flip 6 is IP48 rated for dust and water resistance. It also features a solid hinge, and I’ve never had an issue with a Z Flip device malfunctioning.

Its 4,000mAh battery is enough to last an entire day on a single charge, and I find I get by with the device’s cameras. Clamshell foldables are primarily about the form factor, and this is an excellent opportunity to pick one up at a reduced price.

      SoC

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy

      RAM

           12GB

      Storage

           256GB or 512GB

      Battery

           4,000mAh

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is Samsung’s most evolved take yet on the flip-style foldable form factor.
