The Los Angeles Rams handed the Arizona Cardinals a loss in Week 14 of the NFL season with a final score of 45-17. The Cardinals started the game with a 7-0 lead, but it was the Rams who ended up being the more overwhelming of the two teams. L.A. won this game in all phases and moved to a 10-3 record to maintain a shot at ending the regular season with the 1-seed.<\/p>\n
Jacoby Brissett has been doing the best he can for the Cards under the circumstances, and he gave his team a quick 7-0 lead after throwing a touchdown on AZ\u2019s first drive of the game.<\/p>\n
After that drive, Arizona didn\u2019t get much going other than a field goal, while the Rams scored, scored, scored, scored and scored again to take a 31-10 well into the third quarter. The Rams controlled this game from start to finish and McVay, Chris Shula and everyone must be proud of how they handled their business today.<\/p>\n
Blake Corum and Kyren Williams each scored rushing touchdowns (Corum ended up with another score later), and Matthew Stafford found Puka Nacua twice and Colby Parkinson for throwing scores, keeping Stafford very much in the NFL MVP conversation.<\/p>\n
L.A.\u2019s defense was more effective than last week, and Harrison Mevis continues to be a leader on the Rams\u2019 special teams\u2019 unit.<\/p>\n
With 12-seconds left in the third quarter Stafford found Nacua for his second touchdown after a Nate Landman interception, and the Rams led 38-10 which basically all but the ended the game. Corum tacked on another rushing score in the fourth quarter on a long run to bury the Cardinals even deeper as L.A. led 45-10.<\/p>\n
Eventually, the Cardinals did score another TD to make the score 45-17, and the Jimmy Garoppolo and some other depth pieces for the Rams in mop-up duty until the clock eventually hit zero.<\/p>\n
It was a real bounce back from their loss to the Carolina Panthers, and it forces a division opponent to have another long week. It was a good Sundy for the Rams who now must prepare to host the Detroit Lions in Week 15.<\/p>\n
