It&#8217;s meant to reduce concussions and head injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Guardian Caps were first allowed to be worn on NFL practice fields in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The first time players could wear Guardian Caps in games was 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Pitre was concussed in Week 9.<\/p>\n<p>When he returned in Week 13, he came back with a Guardian Cap.
