Former ’90s<\/a> child star Lisa Jakub<\/a><\/strong> shared a photo of herself in Independence Day<\/a> 29 years after the iconic film\u2014and one fan declared she is “still looking fabulous” today.<\/p>\n

On Friday, July 4, the actress, 46, took to Instagram<\/a> with a side-by-side image of herself in 1996 next to a recent snap.<\/p>\n

“29 years ago,” Jakub captioned her update. “Still really damn worried about what’s out there.”<\/p>\n

In the throwback, she looked off to the side with a furrowed brow in character as Alicia Casse in Independence Day, also starring Will Smith<\/a><\/strong>, Bill Pullman<\/a><\/strong>, Mary McDonnell<\/strong>, Jeff Goldblum<\/a><\/strong> and more.<\/p>\n

“I mean, we probably deserve whatever we get at this point,” Jakub joked of the alien invasion film. “Be safe this weekend, y’all.\u00a0#independenceday<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

In the comments, Jakub’s followers flooded the actress, who also memorably starred as Lydia Hillard in Mrs. Doubtfire<\/a> alongside Robin Williams<\/a><\/strong>, with messages of praise and nostalgia.<\/p>\n

One Instagram user declared, “Wow, I had such a school boy crush for you. And you\u2019re still looking fabulous.”<\/p>\n

Another shared, “Lovely then and now! Happy 4th, Lisa XO \ud83c\udf87\ud83c\udf86.”<\/p>\n

Someone else joked, “Do you still rock those color tones, though?\ud83d\ude02.”<\/p>\n

A different fan quipped, “I think I\u2019d prefer the aliens at this point. \ud83d\ude22.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, yet another Instagram follower lamented, ”\u00a0I couldn’t be old enough for this to have been 29 years ago…”<\/p>\n
