An unlikely moment may have ended up being the turning point in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ season.<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> are currently on a four-game winning streak, and after defeating the Indianapolis Colts<\/a>, they now are in sole possession of the AFC South lead at 9-4 on the season.<\/p>\n

To get to where the Jaguars<\/a> are now, it perhaps took one of their lowest moments of the season. As Liam Coen described after Sunday’s win, the Jaguars loss last month in Houston was actually a good thing.<\/p>\n

“Houston was good for us,” Coen said. “I do believe that. The end of Houston was good for us and to know that each game is going to be a 60 minute football game and our mindset and mentality has to be that way.<\/p>\n

“When you get into December and you’re going to go play some really difficult games on the schedule coming up and every one counts. Very proud of these guys getting to nine wins, but a lot of work to be done.”<\/p>\n

In that game, the Jaguars took a 29-10 lead<\/a> into the fourth quarter and ended up losing 36-29. The offense couldn’t move the ball, and the defense couldn’t get a stop.<\/p>\n

At 5-4 on the season at that point, it felt like the Jaguars were at a fork in the road. But the ensuing weeks showcased the resiliency and toughness of Coen’s team.<\/p>\n

During this four-game winning streak, the defense has been stingy, and the offense has begun to find its groove, which in recent weeks includes a steadier passing game that is generating explosive plays.<\/p>\n

This is a Jaguars team that continues to ascend, and along with leading the AFC South, Jacksonville is the current three seed in the AFC playoff picture.<\/p>\n

When it comes to the division title, the Jaguars control their own destiny.<\/p>\n
