CHICAGO (WLS) — A woman was shot to death in a “domestic disturbance” on Monday, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened at about 2:37 a.m. in the 9600-block of S. Avenue N in the East Side neighborhood, police said.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to a call of a “domestic disturbance,” and found a 27-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

The woman died at the scene, police said.<\/p>\n

A 29-year-old man was taken into police custody; a weapon was recovered at the scene.<\/p>\n

Chicago police said charges are pending.<\/p>\n
