Its last day at 435 West 15th Street, between Ninth and Tenth avenues, will be on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">Owner and baker Amadou Ly announced the shuttering on Instagram stories, writing, \u201cAll good things must come to an end.\u201d Over email, he tells Eater he plans on relocating the bakery. \u201cIt\u2019s time for a better location, and hopefully, it can generate better food traffic and revenues,\u201d adding that he\u2019d like to offer wholesale eventually, too. Before that, he worked at the famed <a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/2019\/8\/1\/20750121\/arcade-bakery-closing-tribeca-farewell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arcade Bakery<\/a> (which closed in 2019) in Tribeca, among other places.<\/p>\n<p>New Swedish candy shop alert<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">Sweden-based candy shop <a href=\"https:\/\/candyking.com\/en_gb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CandyKing<\/a> opened its first American location over the weekend in New York City. The West Village Swedish candy shop debuted in the West Village at 306 Bleecker Street, between Barrow and Grove streets, on Saturday, December 6.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">On deck are pick-and-mix bins, full of Swedish candies and chocolates like cookie dough fudge, Cola bottle gummies, watermelon rockets where the sugar gummy is filled with a watermelon fondant, and much more. CandyKing joins New York\u2019s popular <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eater.com\/24078383\/bonbon-swedish-candy-tiktok-trend-explained\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swedish candy mini-chain<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/venue\/112533\/bonbon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BonBon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Manhattan Tex-Mex spot expands into Brooklyn<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">East Village Tex-Mex restaurant <a href=\"https:\/\/ny.eater.com\/2025\/2\/5\/24355498\/wayne-and-sons-nyc-tex-mex-bar-restaurant-open-east-village-tacos-queso\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wayne &amp; Sons<\/a>, which opened in late 2024, is planning an expansion into Brooklyn, <a href=\"https:\/\/greenpointers.com\/2025\/11\/24\/wayne-sons-will-bring-tex-mex-favorites-to-williamsburg\/?jetpack_skip_subscription_popup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">per Greenpointers<\/a>. The second location will open in Williamsburg at 57 South Fifth Street, at Wythe Avenue. The original restaurant is known for its crispy and soft tacos.
