SAN ANTONIO \u2014 A 4-year-old boy was shot and killed at a northwest-side home Monday afternoon, according to the San Antonio Police Department.\u00a0<\/p>\n
SAPD Chief William McManus said police officers responded to a shooting in progress on the 10000 Block of Windstone Creek just after 3 p.m. Police received two phone calls, one from inside the home and another from outside the home.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, officers found a 4-year-old child shot while the father of the boy was performing life-saving measures.\u00a0<\/p>\n
McManus said the child was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Authorities said the weapon was a handgun but it’s unclear on what lead up to the shooting.\u00a0<\/p>\n
McManus did say the shooting occurred inside the home and only mom, dad and the child were inside.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Police did not say if the mother or father were cooperating with police.<\/p>\n
