{"id":434544,"date":"2025-12-09T01:49:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T01:49:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/434544\/"},"modified":"2025-12-09T01:49:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T01:49:12","slug":"tottenham-braced-for-big-samu-aghehowa-hurlde-and-andre-villas-boas-is-involved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/434544\/","title":{"rendered":"Tottenham braced for big Samu Aghehowa hurlde, and Andre Villas-Boas is involved"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Tottenham Hotspur have been handed some bad news on their rumoured pursuit of Porto striker Samu Aghehowa.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/spurs-news\/tottenham-eye-move-for-striker-with-86m-release-clause-who-scored-27-goals-last-term\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The speculation linking Aghehowa with a move to N17<\/a> has intensified over the last month as the Spanish striker\u2019s prolific streak in Portugal continues.<\/p>\n<p>It has been claimed by some sources that <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/spurs-news\/fabio-paratici-could-spearhead-tottenhams-pursuit-of-87m-spain-international\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fabio Paratici will spearhead Tottenham\u2019s pursuit of the Porto man<\/a> in the upcoming transfer window.<\/p>\n<p>It was previously reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/spurs-news\/tottenhams-stance-on-samu-aghehowa-as-price-drops-significantly-from-87m-release-clause\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spurs would have to pay around \u00a370m to land the Spain international in January<\/a>, but a deal may have just got more complicated.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/GettyImages-2250018429-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Tottenham target Samu Aghehowa\" class=\"wp-image-371124\" \/>Photo by Pedro Loureiro\/Eurasia Sport Images\/Getty ImagesTottenham facing Samu Aghehowa disappointment<\/p>\n<p>It has now been revealed by <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.teamtalk.com\/tottenham-hotspur\/spurs-second-striker-setback-samu-aghehowa-move-blocked-sources\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TEAMtalk<\/a> that the 21-year-old striker is not pushing to leave Porto in January.<\/p>\n<p>The outlet confirms that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/tag\/tottenham\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> have a \u2018strong interest\u2019 in Aghehowa and have done plenty of background work on him, while Newcastle and Aston Villa are also admirers of the centre-forward.<\/p>\n<p>However, those clubs could be in for a \u2018January disappointment\u2019 after being informed that the former Atletico Madrid man is not expected to force a mid-season transfer.<\/p>\n<p>The report says that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/tag\/samu-aghehowa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aghehowa<\/a> has held talks with the Porto hierarchy, including the club\u2019s president and former Spurs head coach, Andre Villas-Boas, and it has been decided that he will remain at the club at least until next summer.<\/p>\n<p>Porto\u2019s head could be turned with a big Spurs offer  <\/p>\n<p>TEAMtalk go on to explain that the striker is happy at the Portuguese club and is fully focused on making the Spain squad for the 2026 World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>While Porto see Aghehowa as being vital for their title charge, the publication does not rule out a January transfer completely.<\/p>\n<p>It is explained that, given Porto\u2019s financial position, they are believed to be open to any \u2018major offers\u2019 for the striker in the upcoming transfer window.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>       Have something to tell us about this article?
