Applications are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fortworthtexas.gov\/departments\/econdev\/smallbusiness\/beck-school\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">currently open<\/a>\u00a0and will close at\u00a0<strong>11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31<\/strong>. Classes are expected to begin in late January.<\/p>\n<p>The Beck School of Construction was launched in 2019, with the goal of mentoring local businesses in the construction industry. By 2020, graduates of the program had already been awarded $14.28 million in contracts.                                                                  The program meets monthly between January and October, with a summer break in July. It provides comprehensive training sessions to help certified businesses increase their industry knowledge, build their expertise and become more competitive when bidding on construction projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be eligible to participate in the Beck School of Construction, businesses must:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide construction or construction-related services.
