<\/a><\/p>\nThe\u00a0National Golf Course Owners Association<\/a>\u00a0(NGCOA) has recognized Walt Disney World Golf (WDW Golf) as the 2026 NGCOA Resort Course of the Year. <\/p>\n According to the NGCOA announcement shared by The First Call<\/a>, WDW Golf was selected because of the outstanding experience it provides golfers across all aspects of its golf course operations, while also making a meaningful contribution to the growth and vitality of the game.<\/p>\n Regarding the award, Cathy Harbin, President of the NGCOA Board of Directors, had this praise to share: <\/p>\n \u201cWalt Disney World\u00ae Golf represents the pinnacle of resort-level golf experiences, establishing a benchmark for service, design, and industry leadership. The Arnold Palmer Golf Management team members at Walt Disney World Resort are passionate about our industry, providing first-class experiences and inspiring others. It is a privilege to recognize their dedication to golf and shine a spotlight on their achievements.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Doug Howe, Chief Operating Officer of Century Golf Partners, which owns and operates Arnold Palmer Golf Management (APGM), responded in kind:<\/p>\n \u201cThis prestigious award, naming Walt Disney World\u00ae Golf as NGCOA Resort Course of the Year, affirms the cohesiveness that exists when the Walt Disney World\u00ae Resort entrusts a management team dedicated to operational excellence. This ensures that every operational detail, from agronomy to our guest experience, meets the highest standards, and we are incredibly honored by this recognition from the NGCOA.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n WDW Golf covers 63 holes across its 4 properties.<\/a> The championship 18-hole courses include Disney\u2019s Palm, Magnolia, and Lake Buena Vista, while Disney\u2019s Oak Trail is a 9-hole walking course.<\/p>\n Disney\u2019s Palm Course recently closed for extensive aerification in August<\/a> \u2013 a process to promote consistent, healthier turf by improving air and water flow throughout the soil.
