The developer of Northeast Florida residential communities SilverLeaf, OakLeaf Plantation and Johns Creek bought more than 1,000 acres west of Jacksonville International Airport on Dec. 1 for $29.48 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The sale, in two parcels totaling about 1,089 acres, is at 14158 Lem Turner Road, between Terrell and Braddock roads.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Hutson Cos. of St. Augustine bought the property through Florida Landbank LLC.<\/p>\n

Halglenn Real Estate Corp. of Miami sold the property through Lem Turner Road Developers LLC.<\/p>\n

In 2022, the Jacksonville City Council approved rezoning the property for a maximum of 2,300 residential units and 125,000 square feet of commercial uses. The project was called Thomas Creek.<\/p>\n

Last December, The Hutson Cos. made two large land acquisitions in St. Johns County. The purchase was for 805 lots and rights of way in the Silverleaf master-planned community for a combined $89.04 million.<\/p>\n

SilverLeaf is at County Road 210 and Florida Road 16 at St. Johns Parkway west of Interstate 95.<\/p>\n
