than 11,000 bottles of a popular blood pressure medication distributed nationwide has been recalled, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/index.cfm?Product=217466\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/index.cfm?Product=217466\">U.S. Food and Drug Administration.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"SG3X3VGYZNCCVBRXBHO3PJXFS4\">The recall involves 11,136 bottles of Bisoprolol Fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets, USP, 2.5 mg\/6.25 mg \u2014 under the brand name Ziac \u2014 manufactured and distributed by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"LOC4QKFG4NGINFEOTYF54KBPE4\">It involves 30-count, 100-count, and 500-count bottles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"FMHHVC4BEFCVLPKWNW5H4JAFLI\">The medication is under recall for cross contamination with other products, after testing of reserve samples showed presence of traces of ezetimibe, a cholesterol drug made by the same company.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" article__paragraph--left\" id=\"6C3VZ67PUBAD5EDD453OLLN37E\">The recall was initiated on Nov. 21 and was classified to a Class III risk level on Dec. 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"TKJP4NUZWRAKPA4FH7MID2NMW4\">A Class III recall is a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"RXPET24PSZCFBCRUJ3FPTYHP2U\">The recall remains ongoing, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration
