SAN ANTONIO \u2014 Canadian rock band Triumph will return to the road for the first time in three decades and San Antonio is on the schedule.<\/p>\n
Venue officials announced the trio will perform at the Frost Bank Center on May 21, 2026 as part of the Triumph 50th Anniversary Tour. Tickets go on sale Dec. 12 at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n
Formed in 1975, Triumph \u2014 Rik Emmett, Mike Levine and Gil Moore \u2014 built an international following through arena tours, progressive-influenced hard rock and high-production stage shows. The band has sold more than 15 million albums and earned multiple gold and platinum certifications.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur fans have always been the heart of Triumph,\u201d the band said in a statement. \u201cThese songs were meant to bring people together \u2014 and that\u2019s exactly why we\u2019re coming back now.\u201d<\/p>\n
Triumph rose from playing small Ontario venues to selling out major arenas and performing at landmark events, including the 1983 US Festival before an audience of 500,000. Hits such as \u201cLay It on the Line,\u201d \u201cMagic Power\u201d and \u201cFight the Good Fight\u201d helped cement their place in rock history.<\/p>\n
The upcoming tour follows a year of recognition for the band. In June, a 15-track tribute album, Magic Power: All-Star Tribute to Triumph, was released with contributions from artists including Slash, Sebastian Bach, Nancy Wilson and Dee Snider.<\/p>\n
In October, Triumph was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, adding to previous inductions into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and Canada\u2019s Walk of Fame.<\/p>\n
