Los Angeles has no shortage of big, loud, cinematic experiences, but the city\u2019s newest attraction puts you behind the wheel of an American legend. “American Icon: A Mustang Immersive Experience,” now open in Boyle Heights, is a high-octane, multisensory deep dive into six decades of Mustang history, fandom, rebellion and pop-culture mythology.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rather than the usual museum-style walk-and-stare setup, this experience throws you straight into the Mustang universe through a series of immersive rooms built with 360-degree projections, high-speed turntables and full 4D motion seats. You\u2019ll wind your way from Detroit\u2019s Motor City grit to a sun-bleached stretch of Sunset Boulevard, sit in on high-speed driving sequences that feel like you\u2019ve been dropped into an action movie and watch a documentary that shifts the spotlight from the car itself to the people who made it iconic, from owners and racers\u00a0to die-hard fans and celebrities. (Anthony Mackie makes an appearance!)<\/p>\n

Car lovers will\u00a0thrill to\u00a0the lineup of Mustangs on display, including models featured in Gone in 60 Seconds, Transformers\u00a0and Kick-Ass.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, an interactive gallery keeps younger visitors busy with hands-on stations, design moments and plenty to touch, turn and test.<\/p>\n

But the headline-grabber is the 4D thrill ride, a full-motion undercover-agent escape sequence built around the Mustang GTD. It\u2019s part stunt show, part video game and part theme-park ride.<\/p>\n

The whole thing unfolds inside Ace Mission Studios, the repurposed industrial campus in Boyle Heights that has become a quiet powerhouse for production, art and events. The building\u2019s history as a former beverage distribution hub gives the space texture but, once you\u2019re inside the experience, it\u2019s pure spectacle.<\/p>\n

The attraction runs through February 9, 2026, with weekday and weekend hours and a ticket range that keeps it accessible: general admission hovers between $25.50 and $34, with discounts for groups, students, seniors and military. But if you\u2019re bringing kids, the best deal is already baked in: children under 12 get in free.<\/p>\n
