Mike Gallagher (R-Wisc.) exclusively told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShipOS turned 1,850 production days into 75 days of work for one supplier. It turned a 200 hour process into 12 seconds \u2014 all while improving quality by 50%. REUTERS<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShipOS is designed to make shipbuilders dominant, get taxpayers more bang for every shipbuilding buck, and ensure America continues to dominate the seas,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The Navy\u2019s move comes as global maritime competition continues with China rapidly modernizing its fleet \u2014 which is already larger than America\u2019s. In response, the US military has been leaning into <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/09\/business\/china-to-restrict-access-to-nvidia-chips-as-trump-looks-to-lift-export-curbs-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">innovations like AI <\/a>and robotics to stay ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShip OS\u201d uses AI-giant Palantir\u2019s software to help streamline production, reduce costs and enhance the Navy\u2019s ability to build ships faster and more efficiently.
