{"id":436970,"date":"2025-12-10T03:49:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T03:49:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/436970\/"},"modified":"2025-12-10T03:49:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T03:49:14","slug":"a-gamestop-customer-in-texas-mightve-brought-in-the-weirdest-item-for-trade-anything-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/436970\/","title":{"rendered":"A GameStop customer in Texas might&#8217;ve brought in the weirdest item for &#8216;Trade Anything Day&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The company said more than 80,000 items were traded in by customers taking advantage of the off-kilter promotion. <\/p>\n<p>SAN ANTONIO \u2014 When it comes to GameStop&#8217;s eyebrow-raising &#8220;Trade Anything Day&#8221; \u2013 a promotion that encouraged customers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kens5.com\/article\/news\/nation-world\/gamestop-trade-anything-day-results\/507-30cd0599-2c43-4724-a3f7-d8d0f4502877\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">literally trade in anything<\/a> (with some exceptions) at their local store this past Saturday \u2013 Texans didn&#8217;t disappoint.<\/p>\n<p>At least, one customer up in North Texas didn&#8217;t.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>GameStop shared that the zanier items brought in for trade-in credit at locations across the country included a bowling ball, a &#8220;full creepy doll collection,&#8221; a speed limit sign and &#8220;Friends&#8221; on VHS.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Up in Corsicana, a small Navarro County community about an hour south of Dallas, someone received trade-in credit for a lanky taxidermied bobcat, according to the company. They were will within the promotion&#8217;s rules: While GameStop warned that things like hazardous waste, computers, drugs, jewelry, and dead or live animals wouldn&#8217;t be accepted on Saturday, the videogame store did say taxidermy would be deemed valid.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"548\" data-dnt=\"true\" align=\"center\">\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/oKCEkw6Jxj\">pic.twitter.com\/oKCEkw6Jxj<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 GameStop (@gamestop) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gamestop\/status\/1997443240275161108?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">December 6, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Upon news of GameStop&#8217;s promotion, the most common question on everyone&#8217;s minds was who would win the hypothetical sweepstakes for most out-there item brought in for credit. The Corsicano customer might&#8217;ve won that particular contest in only-in-Texas fashion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>GameStop said more than 80,000 items in all were brought in for credit on Saturday.
