{"id":437099,"date":"2025-12-10T05:08:33","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T05:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/437099\/"},"modified":"2025-12-10T05:08:33","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T05:08:33","slug":"family-demands-answers-as-woman-becomes-11th-inmate-to-die-in-bexar-county-jail-this-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/437099\/","title":{"rendered":"Family demands answers as woman becomes 11th inmate to die in Bexar County Jail this year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; The family of the woman who died Sunday morning in the Bexar County Jail is demanding answers about the death of Jasmine Zaimon, the 11th inmate this year to die at the county jail.<\/p>\n<p>Zerlina McNeal, Zaimon\u2019s aunt, says her niece was arrested Friday for trespassing while she was attempting to see her children.<\/p>\n<p>She claims the children\u2019s father who has custody was refusing to let her see them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeeping her from actually seeing them, or giving them a hug, or giving them a kiss, I\u2019m sure that led to more drug use,\u201d McNeal said. \u201cUltimately, she went into a huge depression.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McNeal says her niece turned to drugs within the past year and is believed to have died from an overdose inside the jail. McNeal says that while Zaimon did drugs, she was not a drug addict. She says inmates who were incarcerated with Zaimon say she looked unwell and was refused medical attention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhoever is at fault, whoever was negligent will be held accountable,\u201d McNeal said. \u201cNo one deserves to die the way Jasmine did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Comment with Bubbles<\/p>\n<p>BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT<\/p>\n<p>The family is planning to file a lawsuit against the Bexar County Jail.
