It\u2019s a tight race, and the odds are in the Jaguars\u2019 favor, as they prepare to host the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ganggreennation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Jets<\/a> this upcoming Sunday. The two teams have played each other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.footballdb.com\/teams\/nfl\/jacksonville-jaguars\/teamvsteam?opp=22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">18 times<\/a>, and the series is currently tied 9-9. Let\u2019s all hope the Jags keep the top spot in the South, as we look at the good, the bad, and the ugly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">A shutout and Boselli\u2019s number was retired! Jacksonville recorded 19 first downs, 312 total net yards, and a 32:02 time of possession, compared to New York\u2019s 11 first downs, 177 total net yards, and 27:58 time of possession. Maurice Jones-Drew, Fred Taylor, George Wrighster, and Reggie Williams scored touchdowns. Byron Leftwich completed nine out of 20 attempted passes for 140 yards and was sacked once for a loss of nine yards. Taylor led the team with 111 rushing yards, and Williams led with 53 receiving yards. Josh Scobee made the two attempted field goals. Terry Cousin, Brian Williams, and Deon Grant had interceptions. Bobby McCray, Tony Gilbert, Tony McDaniel, Rob Meier, John Henderson, and Montavious Stanley recorded six sacks for a loss of 26 yards. Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell scored touchdowns. Mark Brunell completed 12 out of 31 attempted passes for 156 yards. Fred Taylor led the team with 86 rushing yards, and Jimmy Smith led with 104 receiving yards. Mike Hollis made the attempted field goal. Donovin Darius had a one-yard interception. Kevin Hardy and Eric Curry registered sacks on Vinny Testaverde for a loss of six yards<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The Jags recorded 11 first downs, 203 total net yards, and a 26:37 time of possession, compared to the Jets\u2019 15 first downs, 283 total net yards, and 33:23 time of possession. Josh Scobee scored the team\u2019s only points during the first quarter with a 55-yard field goal. Luke McCown completed six out of 19 attempted passes for 59 yards, had four interceptions, and was sacked once for a loss of ten yards. After seeing McCown for the majority of the game, Blaine Gabbert made an appearance and completed five out of six attempted passes for 52 yards and was sacked once for a loss of ten yards. MJD led the team with 88 rushing yards, and Mike Thomas led with 29 receiving yards. Rashean Mathis and William Middleton had interceptions.
