Will Release Grand Jury Documents From New York Case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Topline<\/p>\n<p>Grand jury materials from Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s New York criminal case, which led to his 2019 arrest, will soon be released, a federal judge ruled Wednesday\u2014meaning all grand jury materials in Epstein-related prosecutions will shortly be made public, after other judges in Florida and New York noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.nysd.518648\/gov.uscourts.nysd.518648.92.0.pdf\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.nysd.518648\/gov.uscourts.nysd.518648.92.0.pdf\" aria-label=\"ordered\">ordered<\/a> grand jury materials from the federal government\u2019s prosecution of Epstein to be unsealed, which include transcripts of the grand jury proceedings and some evidence shown to the grand jury as they decided whether to indict the financier.<\/p>\n<p>While Berman had rejected a previous request to make the documents public, he changed his mind in light of the newly passed law requiring the federal government to release its files on Epstein by Dec. 19.<\/p>\n<p>The federal law \u201csupersedes\u201d rules that typically keep grand jury materials secret and hidden from the public, Berman ruled Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The materials will be made public with redactions to protect victims\u2019 identities, and it\u2019s unclear when exactly they\u2019ll be released, though it will presumably be before the Dec. 19 deadline.<\/p>\n<p>Berman\u2019s ruling comes after other federal judges in Florida and New York had already ordered grand jury materials to be released in Epstein\u2019s separate criminal investigation in Florida and associate Ghislaine Maxwell\u2019s criminal case, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>What To Watch For<\/p>\n<p>All of the government\u2019s documents on Epstein are required to be
