Being single is tough \u2014 even for celebrities.<\/p>\n

Josie Davis, who starred on the \u201980s sitcom \u201cCharles in Charge,\u201d admitted that it\u2019s not easy dating in Los Angeles while exclusively chatting with Page Six earlier this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m apparently intimidating,\u201d she shared, referencing feedback she\u2019s received from men in the past. Though, she insists she\u2019s just a regular gal \u201cwho\u2019s quirky.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress confessed to finding dating in Los Angeles \u201cso hard.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress, 52, shared that she was using Raya \u2014 an exclusive, membership-only dating app that vets their users \u2014 for awhile, but \u201cgot off of [it]\u201d because no one was even \u201ctrying\u201d to write her on there.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess you have to be either super famous or a model,\u201d she rued. \u201cIt\u2019s so hard for me to meet people.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the past, Davis has reportedly dated actors Jacob Young and Dax Griffin<\/a>. Since she hasn\u2019t found \u201cthe one\u201d just yet, she\u2019s been focusing her attention on her acting career.<\/p>\n

The actress, who also hosts her own podcast, \u201cSuccess Road<\/a>,\u201d will soon be seen <\/strong>in \u201cPardon Me: The Bevelyn B. Williams Story.\u201d The film, which premieres in theaters on Aug. 15, follows the true story of Williams, a Black anti-abortion activist. Davis plays a federal judge and stars alongside Blac Chyna.<\/p>\n

In order to familiarize herself with the role, she visited various California courts last year, where she stumbled across some MS-13 gang members who were on trial.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was right before it kind of blew up,\u201d she remembered, referring to MS-13 becoming a flashpoint in the presidential elections.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese two guys walk in and [were] shackled heavily. I mean, chains I\u2019ve never [seen], big, thick chains were on their waist \u2026 it was frightening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aside from her acting gigs and podcast, Davis is also a regular on TikTok, where she recently shared a video about the measly residual check <\/a>she got from \u201cCharles in Charge\u201d that totaled $6.06.<\/p>\n

The sitcom centered around a manny \u2014 played by Scott Baio \u2014 who looked after three children. Davis played the oldest daughter in the family, a bookish character named Sarah, whose younger sibling was played by \u201cBaywatch\u201d alum Nicole Eggert.<\/p>\n

Davis told Page Six that many people seem to be under the false impression that she\u2019s still receiving hefty checks from the series, which premiered on CBS and ran for five seasons between 1984 and 1990. <\/p>\n

\u201cI had a friend at the gym say, \u2018God, do you still get those amazing residuals? You must make a lot of money?,\u2019 and I just thought, \u2018Are you an idiot?\u2019 He got mad at me because of my reaction,\u201d she said during our interview. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe were kids,\u201d she exclaimed, referencing her onscreen siblings, Eggert and Alexander Polinsky. \u201cSo I mean, they barely paid us anything!\u201d<\/p>\n
