A woman killed when a Cadillac driver struck<\/a> her in Midtown Manhattan was an actress who performed under the name Wenne Alton Davis<\/a> \u2014 with credits including an appearance on \u201cThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel<\/a>,\u201d the Daily News has learned.<\/p>\n

The 60-year-old victim, whose real name was Wendy Davis, 60, was crossing Broadway at W. 53rd St. when the driver of a black Cadillac XT6 SUV slammed into her just before 9 p.m. Monday, cops said.<\/p>\n

Just hours before she was struck, Davis shared a tender moment with a close friend at her home in Forest Hills, Queens, telling him, \u201cI love you, I appreciate you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was so weird to me, because I felt like she was saying goodbye,\u201d 61-year-old Edward Reynoso, Davis\u2019s next-door neighbor, told The News. \u201cNow that this happened, it all seems so odd to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis suffered a massive head injury and was rushed to Mount Sinai West<\/a>, where she died. She was struck less than four blocks from Radio City Music Hall and the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.<\/p>\n

Davis appeared in small parts including a cop in Amazon Prime\u2019s hit series \u201cThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel\u201d and a driver in the NBC shows \u201cBlindspot\u201d<\/a>and \u201cNew Amsterdam.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

The victim\u2019s IMDB<\/a> lists 10 credits, starting with a role in the 2004 short film \u201cLadies Room<\/a>\u201d and including a bit part in the 2011 Michael Fassbender drama \u201cShame<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Monday, Davis was going out to meet a friend for dinner and a movie but never returned.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe always texts me when she is about to leave or come home and I didn\u2019t receive any text or anything and I found it weird,\u201d Reynoso said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was worried. I was texting her and she didn\u2019t respond. I\u2019m numb to tell you the truth. I can\u2019t believe it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 61-year-old driver was heading west on W. 53rd St. and making a left turn onto Broadway when he struck Davis by the crosswalk. He remained at the scene and faced no immediate charges as cops continue to investigate the crash.<\/p>\n

Davis had recently returned from a trip visiting her mother, father and sister in Iowa, according to her friend. She moved to his building in Forest Hills with her cat, Roxie, about five years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got close because we always used to run into each other in the hallway,\u201d he said. \u201cWe used to go out for dinner. We\u2019re all single.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was very driven, compassionate, giving,\u201d he added. \u201cI will miss her smile, laugh and joie de vivre.\u201d<\/p>\n
