She has not yet been identified by officials, but family and neighbors said the woman killed was 70-year-old Denise Green.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just can\u2019t believe it. This is just a tragic thing for the whole community,\u201d said Andre Jones, who lives nearby.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s so devastating for her and her kids,\u201d added Brenda Talley, who has known Green for decades.<\/p>\n<p>The flames were reported around 11 a.m. in the 5700 block of North Lambert Street.<\/p>\n<p>Chopper 6 was over the scene as heavy smoke and flames billowed from the home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat fire \u2013 it was crazy. I\u2019ve never seen anything like that,\u201d said Talley, who called 911.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy commissioner says the flames were so intense that they had to fight the fire from the outside.
