Zohran Mamdani has been icing out ally Bill de Blasio amid the former mayor\u2019s cheating scandal <\/a>\u2014 and CNN also decided not to renew his contract at the network, The Post has learned.<\/p>\n

The mayor-elect\u2019s transition team began to sour on de Blasio when his chaotic love life grabbed headlines and he became increasingly unresponsive, sources said.<\/p>\n

But getting sidelined isn\u2019t making the Hizzoner-turned-horndog sweat.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s responded by jetting off to Mexico with his new belle, South Tucson, Ariz., Mayor\u00a0Roxanna Valenzuela,<\/a> sources said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s dying for attention,\u201d one insider quipped, saying de Blasio had orchestrated the media attention surrounding his recent sit-down with Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch <\/a>and incoming City Council Speaker Julie Menin.<\/p>\n

The source said de Blasio hoped the high-profile meetings would signal to Mamdani\u2019s transition team that the seamy headlines hadn\u2019t affected his standing and that he still wielded influence with his former staffers, such as Tisch.<\/p>\n

De Blasio, 64, had started to fall off after The Post reported that he had cheated on his girlfriend, 41-year-old political strategist Nomiki Konst<\/a>, who actively supported Mamdani\u2019s mayoral campaign. <\/p>\n

He became unresponsive and missed at least one meeting, which had been set up to help land someone a job, sources said.<\/p>\n

Mamdani, 34, and his team were also apparently turned off after hearing that de Blasio was actively promising people he would wield influence in the incoming mayor\u2019s administration, according to sources.<\/p>\n

De Blasio was a political pundit for CNN as part of it\u2019s mayoral election and Mamdani coverage, but the network opted not to renew his contract recently, a source said.<\/p>\n

For months, the former mayor has been arranging backroom meetings for people who worked in his administration to help them nab a spot in City Hall or another agency under the new socialist mayor.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was the one who handed them Dean,\u201d a source said, referring to Mamdani\u2019s pick for first deputy mayor, Dean Fuleihan, who worked as budget director and a top deputy for Blaz.<\/p>\n

De Blasio was also integral in running a shadow campaign aimed at preventing ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo from making a political comeback, which politicos believe earned him a seat at the table as the new mayor builds out his admin.<\/p>\n

Insiders added that de Blasio hasn\u2019t been the only one getting the cold shoulder recently from the Mamdani team, raising concerns about the incoming administration that hasn\u2019t announced an appointment in almost a month.<\/p>\n
