{"id":441513,"date":"2025-12-12T03:18:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-12T03:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/441513\/"},"modified":"2025-12-12T03:18:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-12T03:18:13","slug":"road-rage-maniac-busted-weeks-after-stabbing-nyc-cabbie-leaving-him-for-dead-cops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/441513\/","title":{"rendered":"Road rage maniac busted weeks after stabbing NYC cabbie, leaving him for dead: cops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/11\/26\/us-news\/livery-cab-driver-stabbed-repeatedly-and-left-for-dead-behind-wheel-of-car-sources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">An alleged road rage maniac was busted weeks after he stabbed a Bronx livery cab driver<\/a> \u2013 as prosecutors revealed the cabbie repeatedly insisted that he did not \u201cwant to fight.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Darin Dominick, 56, surrendered to cops Wednesday morning in connection to the early Nov. 26 attack on Ghanaian immigrant Osei \u201cOzzy\u201d Kusi, 39, at White Plains Road and Randall Avenue in Castle Hill, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Both cars were stopped at a red light around 2:30 a.m., when Dominick \u2013 who was behind Kusi \u2013 stormed up to his vehicle and banged on the driver\u2019s side window with a baseball bat, according to a complaint filed in Bronx Criminal Court.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Darin Dominick was arrested for stabbing Bronx livery cab driver Osei Kusi (pictured) in November. Kyle Mazza\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>Kusi got out of his car and pleaded, \u201cI don\u2019t want to fight you, I don\u2019t want to fight you,\u201d prosecutors said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But Kusi was soon on the ground and felt a \u201csharp object repeatedly strike his torso,\u201d according to the criminal complaint.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>His alleged attacker then got back behind the wheel of his own car and drove off, prosecutors charged.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is attempted murder,\u201d New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers spokesperson and founder Fernando Mateo declared at the time. \u201cHe left him there to die.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blood seen on the ground outside of the livery cab. Kyle Mazza\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Kusi was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated for eight puncture wounds to his torso and a bleeding cut on his mouth, prosecutors said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He received numerous stitches and repeatedly lost and regained consciousness during his treatment, according to the court doc.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dominick \u2013 who turned himself in at the NYPD\u2019s 43rd Precinct \u2013 also faces assault, menacing and harassment raps, according to cops and the criminal complaint.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dominick drover away from the scene after allegedly stabbing Kusi. Kyle Mazza\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>During his Wednesday arraignment, Judge Anna Mikhaleva ordered him held on $75,000 bail or $250,000 bond, over prosecutors\u2019 request for $300,000 bail or $900,000 bond, the DA\u2019s office said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He is next scheduled to appear in court on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis attack shook our community,\u201d Mateo said in a statement. \u201cThe quick work of the 43rd Precinct and the suspect\u2019s surrender show that no one can harm a hardworking New Yorker and simply disappear.
