As other trades were agreed to, it became fiscally responsible to combine them into one big trade.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the Durant trade became official, approved by the league as a historic seven-team trade, a development that has been anticipated for a while and is was first confirmed by Fred Katz of The Athletic (since his post the trade became official). This is the first seven-team trade in NBA history. Outside of the big names, a lot of what is happening is draft picks getting moved around.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bluesky-embed\" data-bluesky-uri=\"at:\/\/did:plc:xwa273u2xtoaab4lm5ybj2uy\/app.bsky.feed.post\/3ltcm37tbfs25\" data-bluesky-cid=\"bafyreihivgdan5y6gkqmmlcszaevyuavzcacxoyddggnxntbkp25gwe73e\">\n<p lang=\"en\">League sources say the trade will send:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Kevin Durant, Clint Capela to Houston<br \/>\n\u2022 Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Daeqwon Plowden to Phoenix<br \/>\n\u2022 David Roddy to Atlanta<\/p>\n<p>All other elements of the deal are pick trades from draft night that are yet to be finalized.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/did:plc:xwa273u2xtoaab4lm5ybj2uy?ref_src=embed\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fred Katz (@fredkatz.bsky.social)<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/did:plc:xwa273u2xtoaab4lm5ybj2uy\/post\/3ltcm37tbfs25?ref_src=embed\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2025-07-06T15:37:47.932Z<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The trade fully shakes out this way:<\/p>\n<p><b>\u2022 Houston receives:<\/b> Kevin Durant, Clint Capela<br \/><b>\u2022 Phoenix receives:<\/b> Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, rights to Khaman Maluach (No. 10 draft pick), Rasheer Fleming, Koby Brea, Daeqwon Plowden, one second-round pick<br \/><b>\u2022 Golden State receives:<\/b> Alex Toohey, Jahmai Mashack<br \/><b>\u2022 Los Angeles Lakers receive:<\/b> Adou Thiero<br \/><b>\u2022 Brooklyn receives:<\/b> two second-round picks<br \/><b>\u2022 Atlanta receives:<\/b> David Roddy, a second-round pick, cash<br \/><b>\u2022 Minnesota receives:<\/b> Rocco Zikarsky, two second-round picks, cash<\/p>\n<p>The Durant trade could not be approved until the NBA\u2019s new fiscal year (July 1) and the end of the trade and free agency moratorium, which runs until July 6.
