Jon Runyan Jr. spent two years in meetings and practices with Sherrone Moore but suddenly feels like he doesn\u2019t know the person at the center of college football\u2019s biggest scandal.<\/p>\n

Within an hour\u2019s time Wednesday, Moore was fired as head coach by Michigan for \u201ccredible evidence\u201d of an \u201cinappropriate relationship with a staff member\u201d and investigated by police for an alleged assault.<\/p>\n

He was arrested later that night after a 911 call by a university employee who said that he was \u201csuicidal\u201d <\/a>and had been stalking her for four months.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s extremely disappointing,\u201d Runyan Jr., the Giants left guard and one of 43 former Wolverines who was on an NFL roster when the season began, told The Post. \u201cI was with him for two years and knew his family, and didn\u2019t know the person that we\u2019re seeing now. It\u2019s embarrassing for him, for a really prestigious program and to the families involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

Runyan Jr. would like to see Michigan break from the Jim Harbaugh Era and hire Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich to clean up the program.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the latest on former Michigan coach Sherrone Moore<\/p>\n

Stenavich is a Michigan alum from the Lloyd Carr era and coached Runyan Jr. during the latter\u2019s four years with the Packers prior to signing a three-year, $30 million free-agent contract with the Giants.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s the best coach I think I\u2019ve ever had from an Xs and Os standpoint,\u201d Runyan Jr. said. \u201cHe\u2019s still an offensive lineman at heart. He\u2019s hard on guys, but he gets a lot out of people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore was an assistant coach working with tight ends and offensive tackles (like Runyan) in 2018-19. <\/p>\n
