A tourist was repeatedly stabbed by a crazed homeless woman inside Macy\u2019s Herald Square Thursday afternoon amid the packed holiday shopping rush, according to cops and law enforcement sources.<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old California victim, who was shopping with her husband during the Big Apple\u2019s crowded holiday season, was knifed in the back, shoulder, and arm in the seventh-floor bathroom of the flagship store in Midtown at 3:13 p.m., police and sources said.<\/p>\n
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to her back and a laceration on her right arm, cops said. <\/p>\n

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. <\/p>\n

The victim, visiting from Jurupa Valley, works as a civilian for the state\u2019s sheriff\u2019s office, where her husband serves as a sheriff, sources said.<\/p>\n
A female person of interest has since been taken into custody, according to police.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are deeply saddened about the incident that took place today as the safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority,\u201d a Macy\u2019s spokesperson said in a statement to The Post Thursday night. <\/p>\n
