He goes to the net and bats in a feed from <strong>Sidney Crosby<\/strong><strong>. C<\/strong><strong>anadiens 3, Penguins 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Third period is underway.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Erik Karlsson\u00a0<\/strong>has 10 shot attempts. Nobody else has more than six. Four are actual shots on goal, too.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Of the Penguins&#8217; 21 shots on goal, nine are from the third line. <strong>Ben Kindel\u00a0<\/strong>has five, <strong>Ville Koivunen\u00a0<\/strong>three, <strong>Rutger McGroarty\u00a0<\/strong>one (not counting the post).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In terms of just five-on-five ice time where the whole line is intact, the <strong>Sidney Crosby\u00a0<\/strong>line is the first line, the <strong>Danton Heinen\u00a0<\/strong>line is the second line, the <strong>Ben Kindel\u00a0<\/strong>line is the third line, and the <strong>Kevin Hayes\u00a0<\/strong>line is the fourth line. And that&#8217;s not much difference between the Heinen\/Kindel lines, just a matter of seconds. Special teams does affect some of that.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 End of the second. Penguins trail, 3-0. Shots are 21-20 Penguins now.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Rutger McGroarty\u00a0<\/strong>rang one off the post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 I can&#8217;t ever remember seeing that. There&#8217;s such little time to decide if to challenge a goal, and that one was really iffy. <strong>Dan Muse\u00a0<\/strong>used his timeout to give them more time to make that call.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 No goal. <strong>Canadiens 3, Penguins 0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Oh, that was smart. Penguins are now challenging the goal for offside. The timeout gave them more time to decide.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Penguins call timeout after that.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>GOAL: Owen Beck\u00a0<\/strong>from the right circle<strong>. Ryan Graves\u00a0<\/strong>dropped to block the shot in front of him and just missed.<strong>\u00a0Canadiens 4, Penguins 0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Connor Clifton\u00a0<\/strong>just came up big with a block to save a goal and then swept the puck away when he stood up.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The good news is this probably won&#8217;t go to a shootout.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Nevermind. It was missed in real-time but the puck may have snuck in between the pad and post off a <strong>Sidney Crosby\u00a0<\/strong>shot.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Erik Karlsson<\/strong> with a good chance off a rebound on the power play, but <strong>Jacob Fowler\u00a0<\/strong>makes the save.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Penguins go back on the power lay with 9:28 left in the second. <strong>Jared Davidson\u00a0<\/strong>for holding.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>GOAL: Cole Caufield\u00a0<\/strong>capitalizes on the power play from below the goal line. I guess a good sign that he hasn&#8217;t left yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Oh, no. Friendly fire shot from <strong>Kris Letang<\/strong> hits <strong>Sidney Crosby<\/strong> in the left foot.
