New Jersey-based Glenmark Pharmaceuticals recalled the medication after testing of reserve samples showed the presence of traces of ezetimibe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"XNHURJN67FHNZKXSUXE6QQLOB4\">Ezetimibe is a medication used to treat high cholesterol, not blood pressure. <\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"GKMUO7ULFJDWFLI3DGMQASSTM4\">The recall applies to bisoprolol fumarate and hydrochlorothiazide tablets that are labeled as Ziac. The recall involves 2.5 mg and 6.25 mg doses that were distributed in the following packages:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"article__unordered-list\">\n<li id=\"AJRJGXPFIJFVPN66ZMBGTXX2YE\">30-count bottles NDC-68462-878-30<\/li>\n<li id=\"R3QRJRCOPJGZNJXURNANA377FE\">100-count bottle NDC-68462-878-01<\/li>\n<li id=\"B4IOM4UI7NCSFEHME5Z4N3KIZY\">500-count bottles NDC-68462-878-05<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"KGLXBZKLN5ARRDQKOGJXEALFQI\">The recalled tablets were produced in lot numbers: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"article__unordered-list\">\n<li id=\"PV4KPY5IXRA5LOUGRJRLK4HJOE\">Lot No. 17232401, exp 11\/2025<\/li>\n<li id=\"3GAGVHUM4ZAOTPIQY6NFBRKAS4\">Lot No. 17240974, exp 05\/2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"OHFILSY72ZAIHPBVKTRNRIHVZQ\">The recall was first announced on Nov. 21 and upgraded on Dec. 1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/?Event=98036\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/?Event=98036\">to a Class III event.<\/a> A Class III recall is considered &#8221; not likely to cause adverse health consequences,\u201d according to the FDA.
