Taylor and Tate\u2019s marriage blew up after the pair engaged in a soft swinging scandal which ended when she, admittedly, broke the rulesCredit: TikTok\/@taylorfrankiepaul<\/p>\n
In May of 2022, Taylor<\/a>, 31, who is this coming season\u2019s Bachelorette<\/a>, came forward and admitted to breaking the swinging<\/a> rules she and her then-husband had established after she had sex with another man without his consent.<\/p>\n The scandal ultimately led to their divorce later that year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Despite their difficult split<\/a>, the court awarded them joint legal and physical custody of their children, daughter Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5.<\/p>\n The divorce decree, which was dated August 19, 2022, gave the exes \u201calternate parenting time with the children \t\t\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n Both Taylor and her ex, Tate, are \u201crestrained from consuming alcohol on the days they have children,\u201d the court ordered.<\/p>\n The alcohol ban also came just a year before a terrifying incident that resulted in Taylor\u2019s drunken arrest with her new boyfriend.<\/p>\n In February 2023, Taylor was arrested for drunkenly throwing a chair that hit her 5-year-old daughter after going \u201cballistic\u201d on her then-boyfriend, and current Mormon Wives star, Dakota Mortensen. <\/p>\n In the harrowing body cam footage, the outburst came after Dakota refused to bring Taylor to a concert due to her being far too intoxicated.<\/p>\n Taylor went into a drunken rage, throwing a chair that hit her daughter, Indy, in the head.<\/p>\n In the arrest footage, Taylor can be seen sobbing hysterically and telling police she had peed herself before being detained.<\/p>\n She was later charged with two counts of third degree felony domestic violence in the presence of a child with injury, a Class A misdemeanor of child abuse with injury, and Class B misdemeanor criminal mischief.<\/p>\n Taylor ultimately took responsibility for what she called the \u201cworst night of her life\u201d and pleaded guilty for aggravated assault.<\/p>\n As a result of the guilty plea, she avoided further jail time and was sentenced to three years of probation.<\/p>\n Further, the divorce documents explained what joint legal custody requires for the ex-couple.<\/p>\n Both parties were ordered by the judge to \u201cresolve all issues between them relating to the minor children\u2019s welfare\u201d on their own terms.<\/p>\n \u201cIf parties disagree about decisions regarding religion, medical, education, and extracurricular activities after good faith discussion, they may bring the issue to mediation,\u201d the legal documents state. <\/p>\n Tate was also ordered to pay the Mormon Wives<\/a> star $3,000 per month for child support.<\/p>\n Tate agreed to provide medical insurance for the children and would be solely responsible for their insurance.\u00a0<\/p>\n They agreed to split the childcare expenses equally,<\/p>\n Neither Tate nor Taylor, who married<\/a> in 2016, was granted alimony.<\/p>\n They sold their marital home in Utah and divided the assets equally.\u00a0<\/p>\n After their split, Taylor, who was the founder of the TikTok<\/a> group, MomTok, moved on with fellow Mormon Wives star, Dakota Mortensen.<\/p>\n Taylor and Dakota share a 1-year-old son, Ever, and have been in an on again off again relationship for some
