Actor Peter Greene,\u00a0best known for his roles in \u201cThe Mask\u201d and \u201cPulp Fiction,\u201d was found dead inside his Lower East Side apartment Friday afternoon, his longtime manager confirmed to The Post.<\/p>\n
Greene, who established himself as an onscreen villain during the 1990s, was 60 years old.<\/p>\n
He was found unresponsive inside his Clinton Street apartment around 3:25 p.m., and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police and Gregg Edwards, his manager of more than 10 years.<\/p>\n

Cops said no foul play was suspected, but that a cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was a terrific guy,\u201d Edwards said Friday night.<\/p>\n
\u201cTruly one of the great actors of our generation. His heart was as big as there was. I\u2019m going to miss him. He was a great friend.\u201d<\/p>\n
The devastated rep said Greene, who also appeared in the \u201cUsual Suspects,\u201d was about to begin production in January with Mickey Rourke on an independent thriller called \u201cMascots.\u201d<\/p>\n
Edwards, who\u2019s based in California, notified the film\u2019s writer-director, Kerry Mondrag\u00f3n, of the actor\u2019s death and said he broke down in tears.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey were very upset,\u201d the manager added.<\/p>\n

Edwards noted that while his client had a reputation of being difficult to work with, he was a perfectionist who gave every job his all and wanted his performance to be just \u201cright.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe worked with so many amazing actors and directors,\u201d Edwards said, adding that his performance as ruthless mobster Dorian Tyrell opposite Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz in \u201cThe Mask\u201d was \u201carguably his best role.\u201d<\/p>\n
