When will it be done?<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Construction to convert the roads began earlier this year as part of a broader plan to encourage economic growth, support small businesses, and make the area more walkable and safer for pedestrians.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">To get a sense of public reaction, News4JAX walked up and down Adams and Forsyth streets to see how businesses in the area have begun adapting to the change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cIt\u2019s been alright for me, just getting used to it is the biggest thing,\u201d said one River City resident named James. \u201cOther than that, it\u2019s alright. I think it\u2019s better for traffic purposes, so when you have events down here, the one-way streets, people get lost. You turn down one street and be like, \u2018Oh Lord, it\u2019s a one-way.\u2019 So I think it\u2019ll be a good thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Portions of Forsyth and Adams Streets in downtown Jacksonville are now two-way streets again. (City of Jacksonville)<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Jennifer, who lives in downtown Jacksonville, said she\u2019s spent some time over the past few days looking out of her window to see how drivers are adjusting to the two-way streets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">\u201cIt\u2019s not too bad. I\u2019ve driven once,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s just like follow the common laws\u2026 I was a little hesitant about it because there\u2019s been a lot of construction and that\u2019s been hard for people, but it doesn\u2019t seem like it\u2019s been a big deal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The two-way conversion covers Adams and Forsyth streets from Jefferson to Liberty streets.
