Former\u00a0Rockette\u00a0Alina Silver posted a throwback video of her audition\u00a0for the iconic dance company while seven and a half months pregnant \u2014 and it quickly went viral with a combined 11.7 million views on TikTok<\/a> and Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n Commenters marveled over her astounding accomplishment, calling her \u201csuper human,\u201d \u201cbadass\u201d and \u201can example of how awesome women are.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI am zero weeks pregnant and trip over my own two feet walking. Major legend status for being able to do that pregnant AND in heels,\u201d one said.<\/p>\n The mom of three \u2014 who was a Rockette for 12 years \u2014 told The Post she\u2019s been overwhelmed with all the support she\u2019s received.<\/p>\n \u201cI really didn\u2019t expect that to take off,\u201d Silver, 43, told The Post.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just women being like, \u2018Wow, you go girl!\u2019 And it\u2019s been sweet to read the comments because as dancers, it\u2019s just wired in us to be super determined, and I didn\u2019t necessarily feel like that was brave, but now, to look back, I\u2019m like, \u2018Wow, I really did go for it.’\u201d<\/p>\n The Nashville native, who now lives on the Upper West Side, shared the nearly 10-year-old clip after attending the opening night of this year\u2019s \u201cChristmas Spectacular\u201d in November,<\/a> where more than 500 former and current Rockettes were at Radio City Music Hall to celebrate the group\u2019s 100th anniversary.<\/p>\n \u201cI was just feeling extra nostalgic, just the emotion of seeing all these women that I haven\u2019t seen and that I grew up with,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Alina Silver with her husband, Geoff, and their daughter, Amanda, at Radio City Music Hall in 2016. Courtesy of Alina Silver<\/p>\n The now-famous video was given to her by the show\u2019s director in 2016, when she made the bold decision to audition just a month and half before giving birth to her first child.<\/p>\n \u201cShe said to me, \u2018I want you to show this to your daughter one day,’\u201d Silver recalled.<\/p>\n Silver, who has been dancing since the age of 3, became a Rockette in 2005, and it was during the run of the 2015 \u201cChristmas Spectacular,\u201d that she got pregnant \u201cbecause I knew that if I had the baby in August or July, that I could go back the next season,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Since Rockettes have to try out anew each year, she had to audition again at seven and a half months pregnant.<\/p>\n \u201cIt literally was a game day decision, but I knew if I wanted to be offered a contract, I had to show up,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n Baby Amanda is now 9 and part of the pre-professional ballet school Manhattan Youth Ballet. Courtesy of Alina Silver<\/p>\n With the encouragement of her husband, she decided to travel to Radio City for the May audition \u2014 and ended up landing the gig again.<\/p>\n \u201cI have to tell you I have never felt more calm in an audition and I think it\u2019s because I knew I had to be for my baby,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd what was so beautiful about that audition was \u2014 you hear it in the video \u2014 the Rockettes cheering me on.\u201d<\/p>\n Silver had her daughter, Amanda \u2014 now 9 and part of the pre-professional ballet school Manhattan Youth Ballet \u2014 on Aug. 1, 2016, and nine weeks later, was back rehearsing for the Christmas show.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cOn that first day, I was like, \u2018Whoa, I wasn\u2019t expecting this to be this hard.\u2019 And I was pumping [milk] on every break,\u201d she said, laughing.<\/p>\n That season was her last with the Rockettes, since she knew she wanted to grow her family, which now includes two more children, Molly, 7, and Ving, 4.<\/p>\n Silver, who founded Tribe by Alina<\/a>, \u201ca fitness community centered on empowering women\u201d through workouts, also reflected on that fact that her viral clip caught the attention of Jason\u2019s Kelce wife, Kylie \u2014 who spoke about it on her \u201cNot Gonna Lie<\/a>\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n Kelce was amazed over the height of Silver\u2019s kick, \u201cthe fact that she made it seem as though it\u2019s nothing\u201d and how she brazenly sported grey pants. <\/p>\n \u201cWearing grey pants when you\u2019re kicking that high, risky business. If you pee a little, everyone\u2019s gonna know. It\u2019s impressive,\u201d Kelce gushed.<\/p>\n \u201cHonestly, I think that maybe those gray leggings went more viral than I did,\u201d Silver said, laughing.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t
