{"id":445277,"date":"2025-12-13T23:20:31","date_gmt":"2025-12-13T23:20:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/445277\/"},"modified":"2025-12-13T23:20:31","modified_gmt":"2025-12-13T23:20:31","slug":"jury-awards-40m-in-case-alleging-johnsons-baby-power-caused-cancer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/445277\/","title":{"rendered":"Jury awards $40M in case alleging Johnson&#8217;s Baby Power caused cancer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Los Angeles jury awarded $40 million on Friday to two women who claimed that talcum powder made by <a class=\"Link AnClick-LinkEnhancement\" data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/hub\/johnson-and-johnson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Johnson &amp; Johnson<\/a> caused their ovarian cancer.<\/p>\n<p>The giant <a class=\"Link AnClick-LinkEnhancement\" data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/johnson-johnson-fda-gardiner-harris-book-review-50f769020d59cf6726a1a28e52abd1c4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">health care company<\/a> said it would appeal the jury\u2019s liability verdict and compensatory damages.<\/p>\n<p>The verdict is the latest development in a longstanding legal battle over claims that talc in Johnson\u2019s Baby Powder and Shower to Shower body power was connected to ovarian cancer and mesothelioma, a cancer that strikes the lungs and other organs.
