Fans are remembering Peter Greene<\/a> as one of the best bad guy actors of all time after he was found dead in his Lower East Side apartment<\/a> on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Christmas music had been blasting from Greene\u2019s Manhattan home for days when management sent over a locksmith to gain access, neighbors told the Daily News.<\/p>\n

Inside, they found the \u201cPulp Fiction\u201d star unresponsive and lying facedown on the ground around 3:25 p.m. His manager, Gregg Edward, later confirmed the 60-year-old actor\u2019s death<\/a>, though the cause was unclear as of Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Edward, who repped Greene for more than a decade, hailed his client as \u201cone of the most brilliant character actors\u201d in the industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody played a bad guy better than Peter,<\/a>\u201d Edwards told NBC News. \u201cBut he also had, you know, a gentle side that most people never saw, and a heart as big as gold.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans also took to social media to honor Greene, with one user writing: \u201cAny time Peter Greene popped up, you just knew he was gonna play the scuzziest villain.<\/a> Such a memorable character actor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many were quick to echo that sentiment.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe played some of my favorite villains<\/a>,\u201d one fan wrote, remembering Greene as one of those actors whose name you could \u201cnever remember\u201d but who \u201cleft such a huge impression.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others quoted the famous line from Quentin Tarantino\u2019s \u201cPulp Fiction,\u201d<\/a> in which he played the role of Zed, who\u2019s brought in to torture the characters played by Bruce Willis and Ving Rhames.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a Tarantino fan, every time I hear or see the quote \u2018Zed\u2019s dead, baby,\u2019<\/a> it\u2019ll mean something different now,\u201d another fan wrote.<\/p>\n

A native of Montclair, N.J., Greene ran away from home at the age of 15 and lived on the streets of New York City before establishing himself as a baddie of the screen.<\/p>\n

In addition to his brutal role in \u201cPulp Fiction\u201d in 1994, he played another villain \u2014 Mafia boss Dorian Tyrell \u2014 opposite Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz in \u201cThe Mask.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

He went on to appear in nearly 100 films and TV shows, including a recurring role on NBC\u2019s 2007 series \u201cThe Black Donnellys,\u201d giving an all-too-convincing portrayal of an Irish gangster known for chopping off people\u2019s toes.<\/p>\n

He was also known for \u201cBlue Streak,\u201d with Martin Lawrence and Luke Wilson, and \u201cThe Bounty Hunter\u201d<\/a> starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler.<\/p>\n

He \u201cworked with everybody,\u201d Edwards said.<\/p>\n

More recently, he appeared as Wild Bill Miller<\/a>, the leader of a white supremacist prison group, in the ABC series \u201cFor Life.\u201d Earlier this year, he was seen as the leader of a dangerous biker gang in \u201cDope Thief\u201d<\/a> on Apple TV+.<\/p>\n

According to IMDb, Greene had eight projects in the works at the time of his death, including \u201c3 Days Rising,\u201d<\/a> a horror-thriller starring Mickey Rourke and Ice-T.<\/p>\n
