campaign to assist residents without health insurance in obtaining coverage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">The campaign, initiated by Mayor Deegan and healthcare leaders in 2023, aims to simplify the enrollment process for private healthcare plans and educate citizens on the benefits and options available.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/live-breaking\/\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/live-breaking\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>&gt;&gt;&gt; STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">\u201cThe campaign was a huge success in its first two years,\u201d said Mayor Deegan\u2019s health team, noting a 69% increase in ACA plan enrollment in Duval County since 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">To reach as many residents as possible, the city is collaborating with faith-based leaders, community healthcare providers, and media outlets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">A phone bank will be held at WJCT Studios on December 11 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., where volunteers will assist residents with enrollment and answer questions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">Since the 2023 open enrollment period, 75,507 new enrollees have joined ACA plans, bringing the total to 184,795 Duval County residents covered in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">Approximately 111,000 adults in Duval County remain uninsured, and eligible individuals can enroll in a private healthcare plan through the Florida Health Insurance Marketplace until January 15, 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\"><b>[DOWNLOAD: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/mobile-apps\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Free Action News Jax app for alerts as news breaks<\/b><\/a><b>]<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\"><b>[SIGN UP: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/membercenter.actionnewsjax.com\/newsletters\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Action News Jax Daily Headlines Newsletter<\/b><\/a><b>] <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Action News Jax Top Stories<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 The City of Jacksonville has launched its 2025 Get Covered Jax!
