Fox News host Jessica Tarlov<\/strong> pulled no punches when talking about President Donald Trump<\/strong>‘s handling of the economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Trump team knows the economy is going badly. Good luck blaming [Joe<\/strong>] Biden<\/strong> for an economy of the GOP\u2019s creation,\u201d she said in a post on X<\/a>. \u201cTrump is just setting the economy on fire and not in the good way, in the dumpster-fire kind of way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump Team Is Hiding The Data?<\/p>\n

Tarlov accused the Trump administration of withholding key economic data<\/a> because the numbers look bad. \u201cWe aren\u2019t getting the jobs numbers anymore, the GDP numbers, or the inflation numbers,\u201d she said in a recent episode of \u201cThe Five.\u201d \u201cAnd we know that Donald Trump, if a number is even remotely good or he can lie about it, he tells you what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also brought up troubling signs in the economy that have been confirmed by media reports: layoffs trending toward Great Recession levels, 70% of Americans saying they’re paying more for groceries, 60% seeing higher utility bills, and nine months of contraction in the manufacturing sector.<\/p>\n

Tarlov pushed back on Republican claims that the economic problems stem from Biden’s policies. \u201cThe argument that the guy who\u2019s been out for a year, that it\u2019s all his fault when you\u2019ve implemented a totally new economic agenda, and that it\u2019s a failure in basically every corner of it, is not really resonating with people,\u201d she said on Fox News.<\/p>\n

Tarlov brought up that Biden had to deal with some serious problems when he first took office. \u201cDonald Trump doesn\u2019t have the same issues that Joe Biden did,\u201d she said. \u201cHe doesn\u2019t have a supply chain problem. He doesn\u2019t have a global health pandemic that was killing millions of people all over the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Farmer Bailouts And Economic Criticism<\/p>\n

Tarlov also criticized Trump\u2019s trade policies, including the $12 billion farmer bailout<\/a> that followed his tariff decision<\/a>s. \u201cHe didn\u2019t need to put the tariffs in in the first place,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd the farmers are speaking out about this. This is Donald Trump\u2019s problem. He\u2019s the one who caused this.\u201d<\/p>\n

She cited comments<\/a> from the National Black Farmers Association President John Boyd Jr., saying that agriculture has been in \u201ccomplete turbulence and turmoil\u201d since Trump returned to office. \u201cThis is a man-made crisis,\u201d Tarlov said.<\/p>\n
