AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – West Texas A&M traveled to UT Dallas with both basketball teams looking to continue undefeated in Lone Star Conference play, and both teams delivered victories.<\/p>\n
Lady Buffs were led by Taylor Haggan scoring 19 points for the day and 10 rebounds, making 9-12 field goals. Randi Harding and Karley Motenschenbacher both posting 10 points. <\/p>\n
The Lady Buffs head to Hawaii for the Hoops in Hawaii Classic on December 18-19, playing #23 Ferris State and Hawaii Pacific.<\/p>\n
Men survive thriller<\/p>\n
The men\u2019s team followed with their own dramatic victory, battling it out with the Comets to remain undefeated with a 94-92 Lone Star Conference win. <\/p>\n
Fontaine Williams scored 26 points, 12-15 from the charity line and added seven assists to his stat chart. Zach Brown, Jaden Mishak and Bernard Ballard scoring double-digits with 18, 14 and 10 points respectively. <\/p>\n
The Buffs end the year with on December 17-18 playing Central Missouri and #2 Washburn at the River City Holiday Classic in San Antonio, Texas.<\/p>\n
