The Flyers answered 23 seconds later to tie it 3-3 at 12:49 when Carl Grundstrom<\/a> kept the puck on a 2-on-1 and scored on a short-side snap shot from the right circle. He has three points (two goals, one assist) in four games since making his Philadelphia debut on Nov. 8 after a recall from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League.<\/p>\n

\u201cI looked over a little bit, but then I saw I had an open corner there,\u201d Grundstrom said. \u201cIt\u2019s been a lot of fun, a great group of guys for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Flyers took a 1-0 lead at 10:04 of the first period. Zegras skated the puck through the neutral zone and left a drop pass for Bobby Brink<\/a>, who cut from the top of the left circle to the high slot for a wrist shot over Kochetkov\u2019s glove.<\/p>\n

Zegras pushed the lead to 2-0 at 17:34 when he drove the net and scored off Travis Konecny<\/a>‘s backhand feed from below the goal line.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought we got off to a good start,\u201d Zegras said. \u201cI think we (need to) build off that first period because I thought we were doing some good stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ehlers cut the deficit to 2-1 at 9:11 of the second period. Gostisbehere intercepted a pass from Flyers defenseman Ty Murchison<\/a> in the neutral zone, skated into the offensive zone and passed to Ehlers, who scored on a wrist shot from the top of the left face-off circle.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was the best line for us,\u201d Brind\u2019Amour said. \u201cWe were a little flat, and they came out and got the goal. Really all night, they were all around it, generating some good looks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nikishin\u2019s slap shot from above the left circle deflected off the left skate of Philadelphia forward Noah Cates<\/a> and into the net to tie it 2-2 at 14:12.<\/p>\n

Kochetkov improved to 5-1-0, making his second start since missing eight games with a lower-body injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cTough first (period), I felt slow,\u201d Kochetkov said. \u201cIn the second, I have a couple shots, and I start to feel the game a little bit. I felt actually it\u2019s not bad.\u201d<\/p>\n
