(WZTV) \u2014 An extension to Concourse D has been unveiled at Nashville International Airport (BNA). It will open on July 8.<\/p>\n<p>In partnership with BNA and Arts at the Airport Foundation, Concourse D has many innovative and artistic features. The record node has a panoramic view, including a view of the airfield and downtown Nashville. Travelers can also access an outdoor terrace to take a step outside after a long travel day.<\/p>\n<p>Five new gates have been opened, as well as eight new locations to shop, eat, and drink. New restaurants to check out include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3rd &amp; Broadway<\/li>\n<li>Sandella\u2019s Flatbread Caf\u00e9<\/li>\n<li>New Heights Cantina and Taqueria<\/li>\n<li>The Castle<\/li>\n<li>Flytes Virtual Dining Hall<\/li>\n<li>Daniel X Diamond<\/li>\n<li>Nashville Tracks by Hudson<\/li>\n<li>Martini<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The concourse also features three unique pieces of art you can enjoy while waiting for your flight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwine with my Mingles\u201d by Nashville-based artist Elizabeth Williams of New Hat Projects, a 180-foot-long piece that lines the moving walkway created by loom-style weaving custom-printed wristbands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA Thread Without End\u201d by Los Angeles-based artist Benjamin Ball of Ball-Nogues Studios, comprised of 620 stainless steel spheres suspended in the concessions area between gates D7 and D8.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Radiant City\u201d by Nashville-based artist Brenda Stein encircles the center of the record node, featuring depictions of some of Nashville\u2019s most recognizable buildings in shimmering terrazzo, acting as a focal point when passengers enter.<\/p>\n<p>Designed by world-renowned architectural firms Hensel Phelps and Fentress Architects, the concourse has many windows and is a place to unwind. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Get reports like this and all the news of the day in Middle Tennessee delivered to your inbox each morning with the <a href=\"https:\/\/fox17.com\/sign-up\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/fox17.com\/sign-up\" class=\"themeColorForLinks\" rel=\"noopener\">FOX 17 News Daily Newsletter.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"NASHVILLE, Tenn.
