Wilfried Nancy reacts to Celtic’s Hampden defeat<\/p>\n

Wilfried Nancy has promised Celtic<\/a> WILL come good when his methods finally click, but has warned of the need to “respect” the process.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman has suffered the worst start if any boss in the club’s history by losing his first three games, the latest and most damaging coming in the 3-1 Premier Sports Cup Final defeat<\/a> to St Mirren<\/a> at Hampden.<\/p>\n

It rounds off a miserable week for the champions, who kicked it off by losing 2-1 at home to Hearts and falling six points behind the capital club at the top of the table. Then Roma came to Parkhead and turned them over in the Europa League.<\/p>\n

Some sections of the support are already calling on the under fire board to admit they’ve appointed the wrong man and bring back interim manager Martin O’Neill.<\/p>\n

Boos rang around Hampden and while Nancy<\/a> says he gets it, he’ll continue doing what he’s doing and insists fans will see things improve.<\/p>\n

“I understand that, but the reality is that I have to respect the process too,” he told Premier Sports. “Obviously we want to win games but at the moment we are missing certain things.<\/p>\n

“To be able to be more dangerous inside the box and also to concede less goals. This is something that we’re going to have to work on.<\/p>\n

“Asked how he speeds up the process in order to stop the current slump getting any worse, Nancy replied: “The work. We’ve not had a lot of time to work because we’ve been playing many games. So we have to stick to that and I’m pretty sure that when it clicks, it’s going to be good.<\/p>\n

“But for the moment this is the reality that we are in. The three games that we’ve had, the only thing that I know is to help the players and find a solution. I’m confident of that.”<\/p>\n

“It’s a tough one. The reality is in the last three games we’ve conceded goals from a set piece. and we have to come back from behind all the time. On that, we have to be a little bit better.<\/p>\n

Nancy said after the Hearts defeat that he “wasn’t about winning or losing,” which provoked a strong reaction. Aftert the latest defeat however, he made it clear that he knows his results so far won’t come close to cutting it.<\/p>\n

“We work and try to find a solution every day. I know that for the moment, this isn’t good enough in terms of results. I want to make that point in terms of results, but in terms of things that we want to do, there is good things.<\/p>\n

“For now, I understand the frustrations of the fans. I know where I am at the club and I’m going to focus on what I can control.<\/p>\n

“It’s been like that since the beginning. I do a job that I know exactly that I need to win games. But to win games, we have to be good with the performance. This is what I said. Simple as that.<\/p>\n

“This is the first time also for me that it happens. This is new but I accept and embrace the challenge. I will do it.
