A former Houston mayoral appointee raged at a Texas girls camp for being \u201cwhite-only\u2019\u2019 \u2014 hours after deadly flooding ripped through the facility<\/a>, killing at least five little campers and leaving 11 more missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know I\u2019m going to get cancelled for this, but Camp Mystic is a white-only girls\u2019 Christian camp. They don\u2019t even have a token Asian. They don\u2019t have a token Black person. It\u2019s an all-white, white-only conservative Christian camp,\u201d Sade Perkins said in a widely condemned video on her private TikTok account.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you ain\u2019t white you ain\u2019t right, you ain\u2019t gettin\u2019 in, you ain\u2019t goin\u2019. Period,\u201d Perkins said \u2014 as the state\u2019s overall death toll from the devastating flooding soared, with the number of dead now at 80.<\/p>\n

She then claimed no one would care if the victims were minorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf this were a group of Hispanic girls out there, this would not be getting this type of coverage that they\u2019re getting, no one would give a f\u2013k, and all these white people, the parents of these little girls would be saying things like \u2018they need to be deported, they shouldn\u2019t have been here in the first place\u2019 and yada yada yada,\u201d Perkins said.<\/p>\n

Perkins was appointed to the city\u2019s Food Insecurity Board by former Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner in 2023. <\/p>\n

Her term expired in January \u2014 and Houston Mayor John Whitmire said Sunday that he has no plans to reappoint her, particularly after her \u201cdeeply inappropriate comments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perkins also responds to comments on her video with even worse comments about the mass casualty flood. TikTok \/ @sades_world8<\/p>\n

In the first 2.5-minute video that Perkins posted after the flooding, she recorded the rolling homepage for Camp Mystic while ranting about its \u201cexclusionary\u201d habits that fostered a \u201cwhites-only enclave.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post quickly went viral as it drew massive criticism.<\/p>\n

Perkins, seemingly energized by the hate she was receiving, punched back with another video.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get that white people are not used to people telling them and calling them out on their racism and telling them about their double standards and how you wouldn\u2019t give a damn about other children and how there\u2019s children in ICE detention right now who y\u2019all don\u2019t give two f\u2013ks about,\u201d she ranted. \u201cThere\u2019s no prayers going up for them, but we\u2019re supposed to stop the world and stop everything we\u2019re doing to go and hunt for these little missing white girls.\u201d<\/p>\n

A counselor at the camp also is still missing, as are scores of others across the state.<\/p>\n
