(Photo courtesy Marketink\/Prebys Foundation)<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prebysfdn.org\/people\/crystal-page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prebys Foundation<\/a> \u2014 the largest independent private foundation in San Diego County \u2014 has promoted <a href=\"https:\/\/sdvoyager.com\/interview\/daily-inspiration-meet-crystal-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Crystal Page<\/a> to vice president of communications. <\/p>\n<p>She previously served at the Prebys Foundation as director of communications since 2023.\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/timesofsandiego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/MarketInk.png?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"173\" height=\"73\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/MarketInk.png\" alt=\"MarketInk logo\" class=\"wp-image-27208\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In her new role, Page will continue to guide communications strategies that support long-term, community-rooted solutions across the region, a statement said. Also, she will continue working across public, private and nonprofit sectors to advance collaborative, community-centered solutions that create lasting effects.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Since joining the Prebys Foundation, her work has elevated community voices, strengthened partnerships and helped shape narratives that promote belonging, opportunity and a more equitable San Diego, according to a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPage has played a key role in positioning communications as a central driver of the Foundation\u2019s mission,\u201d the statement said. <\/p>\n<p>The Foundation invests in four program areas, including arts and culture, youth success, health and well-being and medical research.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCrystal has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, insight, and a deep understanding of this community,\u201d said\u00a0Grant Oliphant, the Prebys Foundation\u2019s chief executive officer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has turned strategic communications into a driving force for our work, weaving it into everything we do. Her vision keeps our communications grounded in our mission and helps us push forward toward a more vibrant San Diego County.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Page has more than 16 years of experience managing strategic communications experience in both government and the private sector. Prior to joining the Prebys Foundation, she served as chief of staff for the San Diego County District 3 office, as deputy secretary of communications and external affairs for the California Labor &amp; Workforce Development Agency and as communications director for the Service Employees International Union California State Council.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored to step into the role of vice president and continue leading the Foundation\u2019s strategic communications to help build a San Diego where everyone feels seen, supported and connected to opportunity and creativity,\u201d said\u00a0Page, who also co-hosts the Prebys Foundation\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prebysfdn.org\/stories\/series\/stop-talk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Stop &amp; Talk<\/a>\u00a0podcast. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPurposeful communications can reshape relationships, spark momentum and turn shared vision into breakthroughs that move our region forward. I\u2019m motivated by what is possible when we work together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Page is active in the community serving on the boards of directors of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outdooroutreach.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Outdoor Outreach<\/a>, a San Diego-based nonprofit which expands access to nature and outdoor experiences for young people, and the Narrative Initiative, a national organization which helps communities build narrative strategies that strengthen democracy and equity.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Magic 92.5\u2019s Jagger and Kristi granting Christmas wishes \u2014 again<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Husband-and-wife radio team Mark and Kristi Jagger, hosts of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.magic925.com\/dj\/jaggerandkristi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jagger and Kristi in the Morning<\/a>\u201d on XHRM-FM Magic 92.5, have begun their 15th annual \u201cChristmas Wish\u201d promotion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/timesofsandiego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Magic925-Xmas-foto-Mark-and-Kristi.jpg?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"710\" height=\"710\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Magic925-Xmas-foto-Mark-and-Kristi.jpg\" alt=\"Jagger &amp; Kristi morning team. Self-nominations are not eligible and nominators cannot live in the same household as the person they\u2019re nominating. Nominations can be submitted at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.magic925.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">www.magic925.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout December, until Dec. 24, one listener will be notified around 7:15 a.m. each weekday that their Christmas wish \u2014 tailored to meet their needs \u2014 has been granted. Wishes typically include groceries and money for gas, rent, utilities and medical expenses. Additional freebies given to wish grantees include a Christmas tree, gifts for children and tickets to SeaWorld San Diego. The station began announcing this year\u2019s wish recipients on Dec. 8.<\/p>\n<p>A station statement said, \u201cAs we enter the New Year, we are still facing some of the highest price increases across the board due to inflation, adding stress and financial strain to even more families. That\u2019s why we are more determined than ever to help as many families as possible through Christmas Wish 2025.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is one of our favorite programs of the year,\u201d Kristi told Times of San Diego. \u201cWe are hoping to help several families who are struggling with paying some of their bills, their rent and getting other badly-needed items.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s major sponsor is Altus Schools. Additional sponsors include SeaWorld San Diego, Chicken Charlie\u2019s, Breakfast Republic, Barons Market, Pinery Christmas Trees, United Pacific Electronics, Epic Wings, San Diego Family Magazine and Gringas Catering.<\/p>\n<p>The Jaggers have worked together as on-air personalities since 1996. They were married in 1997 and have been hosts of \u201cJagger and Kristi in the Morning\u201d on Magic 92.5 since 2005.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll year long we have been celebrating 20 years at Magic 92.5,\u201d Kristi said.\u00a0 \u201cKind of crazy isn\u2019t it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Local Media San Diego LLC operates Magic 92.5, along with XTRA-FM 91X, XHTZ-FM Z90.3 and KFBG-FM 100.7 BIG-FM.<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Diego County Fair Honored with Marketing Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 22nd District Agricultural Association, the entity that operates the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delmarfairgrounds.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Del Mar Fairgrounds<\/a> and produces the San Diego County Fair, recently received eight awards from the <a href=\"https:\/\/fairsandexpos.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Association of Fairs and Exposition<\/a> for marketing communications and sponsorship efforts for the 2025 Fair.<\/p>\n<p>Awards in communications categories included a promotional jobs poster, online advertisement for bands in town, a bus wrap for a Metropolitan Transit System bus and outdoor digital advertising at the North County Mall.<\/p>\n<p>Awards in sponsorships categories included sponsor exposure for Toyota, in-kind trade sponsorship with Roma Pharmacies, sponsorship innovation with Kahoots pet stores and sponsor continuity with Albertsons and Vons grocery stores.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the DDA received 26 awards from IAFE in other categories, including agricultural, competitive exhibits, commercial exhibits and concessions and non-fair facility usage. Eight first-place awards were presented. It was the most the DDA has received from IAFE, exceeding last year\u2019s total of 24.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese awards reflect the passion and creativity that our team brings to everything we do to serve as a community gathering place during the Fair and year-round,\u201d said Carlene Moore, chief executive officer of the 22nd DAA. \u201cWe are deeply honored to be recognized by our industry peers and proud to represent San Diego County on the international stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>IAFE\u2019s award programs honor fairs and expositions worldwide for extraordinary accomplishments in marketing, communications, agriculture, exhibits, sponsorship and operational excellence. Entries are judged by expert panels on creativity, use of theme, production quality, resourcefulness and innovation. The 22nd DAA competes in a division with large fairs and venues similar in size and attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Del Mar Fairgrounds operations are primarily funded by revenues generated by hosting events, including the fair, which is San Diego County\u2019s largest annual event.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/rickgriffin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rick Griffin<\/a>\u00a0is a San Diego-based public relations and marketing consultant.
