James and Carole Walter Looke Family Fund<\/p>\n<p>The evening unfolded like a Texas-sized toast guided by gala chairs <strong>Brooke Lee<\/strong>, <strong>Dana Barton<\/strong>, and <strong>Kristen Collins<\/strong>, and lifted further by strategic chairs <strong>Vanessa Ames<\/strong> and <strong>Jordan Seff<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>More than 460 guests filled the sprawling venue, welcomed first by a festive happy hour and a bustling silent auction. Master of ceremonies <strong>Johnny Bravo<\/strong> kicked things into gear as guests settled in, followed by remarks from Crime Stoppers CEO <strong>Rania Mankarious<\/strong>, who championed the crowd\u2019s shared commitment to keeping Houston safe.<\/p>\n<p>Speaker <strong>Maurine Molak<\/strong>, co-founder of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.davidslegacy.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">David\u2019s Legacy Foundation<\/a> shared the story of her son, whose life was cut short at 16 after enduring relentless cyberbullying. She illuminated the gap in resources available to families at the time and the sweeping efforts that eventually led to David\u2019s Law. Her partnership with Crime Stoppers through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oquinnfoundation.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The John M. O\u2019Quinn Foundation<\/a> Million for Million campaign has already reached more than two million students, continuing David\u2019s legacy by empowering young Texans to seek safety, support, and hope.<\/p>\n<p>A surprise presentation of the Second McIngvale Family Humanitarian Award honored <a href=\"https:\/\/houston.culturemap.com\/series\/wine-guy-wednesday-chris-shepherd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chris Shepherd <\/a>and <strong>Lindsey Brown<\/strong> of <a href=\"https:\/\/southernsmoke.org\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Southern Smoke Foundation<\/a> for their community-wide compassion.
