\n\tFrom creator R. Scott Gemmill and producer John Wells,\u00a0The Pitt\u00a0chronicles the urgent challenges U.S. frontline healthcare professionals face through the lens of the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center\u2019s emergency department. Offering a real-time format, the series traces, hour by hour, the medical cases and personal crises physicians and nurses must navigate as they reckon with an overabundance of patients and a lack of resources.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Noah Wyle-led and executive produced series returns with its sophomore season in January. It is set 10 months after the events of the Season 1 finale and takes place over Fourth of July weekend.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to Wyle,\u00a0The Pitt\u00a0also stars Katherine LaNasa, Shawn Hatosy, Taylor Dearden, Patrick Ball, Isa Briones, Fiona Dourif, Supriya Ganesh, Shabana Azeez and Gerran Howell. New Season 2 additions include Sepideh Moafi as a series regular, and Charles Baker, Irene Choi, La\u00ebtitia Hollard, Lucas Iverson, Lawrence Robinson, Brittany Allen, Bonita\u00a0Friedericy, Taylor Handley\u00a0and Jeff Kober\u00a0<\/strong>in recurring roles.<\/p>\n

\n\tCharacter descriptions for the four new actors can be found below.<\/p>\n

\n\tGolding<\/strong> will play Noelle Hastings, a nurse.
Tennie<\/strong> as Dr. Crus Henderson, a PTMC Night shift 4th year resident.
Thornton<\/strong> as Dr. Caleb Jefferson, a PTMC Psychiatric Attending.
Van Winkle<\/strong> as Curtis Larson, an aggressive patient of the ER. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Pitt received five Emmy Awards from 13 nominations, with wins for Wyle for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, LaNasa for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and Hatosy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Additionally, the show was honored with Outstanding Drama Series. More recently, Wyle received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a TV Drama Series, and the show received a nod for Best TV Drama.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where the company is under an overall deal. Gemmill created the series and serves as an executive producer alongside Wells, Wyle, JWP\u2019s Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan,\u00a0Joe Sachs\u00a0and\u00a0Michael Hissrich.<\/p>\n
