Mous has released the first official, third-party dock for the Pixel Watch 4. It comes just over two months after the wearable launched with its new charging system.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The \u201cMous Pixel Watch Charger<\/a>\u201d is a rectangular pad (in Matte Black) with a mount for the Pixel Watch 4 at the center. That base is made from 35% recycled polycarbonate aluminum alloy, while the USB-C cable on the back detaches.\u00a0<\/p>\n Of note is how it\u2019s \u201cbuilt with official Google Pixel Watch charging hardware.\u201d Existing solutions on the market are basically rubber cases for Google\u2019s charging base.\u00a0<\/p>\n It provides \u201c5.6W contact charging\u201d and requires \u201c7.5W+ input for full performance.\u201d Mous touts \u201cdual-part authentication IC\u201d for \u201csafe charging.\u201d\u00a0There are Pogo connectors on the left edge that allow for \u201cmodular upgrades with other Mous charging accessories.\u201d<\/p>\n \tAdvertisement – scroll for more content<\/p>\n It\u2019s billed as having a \u201ccompact, travel-ready form\u201d that\u2019s presumably in reference to the detachable cable. That is nice, especially if you find the 1 meter cable on Google\u2019s Quick Charge Dock too short for your setup.\u00a0<\/p>\n This Mous Pixel Watch Charger is $49.99 and currently only available on the Google Store<\/a>. (We don\u2019t see it on the manufacturer\u2019s site or Amazon.) In the box, you get a 1.5m USB-C to USB-C cable.\u00a0<\/p>\n Google\u2019s Pixel Watch 4 charger is $29.99<\/a>, so this new accessory comes at a premium.\u00a0<\/p>\n
